Emmaus Preceptory is the Preceptory in Surrey for all Present and Past Preceptors. Its purpose is to further the knowledge of Knights in the history, precepts and aims of the Order. Lectures, and sometimes demonstrations, are given by the Eminent Preceptor and other members of the Preceptory and by specially invited guest speakers.

Emmaus meets only twice a year, on the fourth Monday in April, which is the Installation meeting, and the third Friday in September. Both meetings are held at the Surbiton Masonic Hall. The September meeting is combined with the Provincial Priory of Surrey Malta meeting, when the Provincial Officers of the year are appointed and invested by the Provincial Prior. There is also a full working of the ceremony of Installation of a Knight of Malta, for a small number of selected candidates, conducted usually by the Provincial Sub-Prior and assisted by the Officers of Emmaus and of the Province.

All current and Past Preceptors are eligible to join. If, having passed through all the various Offices of your Preceptory, your interest in the Order has been stimulated to the extent that you would like to know some more about it, please get in touch with the Provincial Vice-Chancellor who will answer any questions you may have and send you an Application Form. A full list of members of Emmaus is shown in the Provincial Calendar, but if you have any difficulty regarding Proposer or Seconder, again he will be pleased to help.

If you have yet to be Installed as Eminent Preceptor, you are most welcome to attend Emmaus Preceptory as a visitor.
