Those of you who joined us in May this year will remember what a lovely day out we had being entertained wonderfully in Eddie Urtan’s new restaurant in the centre of Greenwich, followed by the opportunity to explore all the interesting places in and around the town.

We are going to repeat this outing again this year on 13th May when the price will remain at £20 per person, which includes coach travel from Guildford, Surbiton & Croydon Masonic Centers and a full lunch with Coffee & Tea. Afterwards, in the afternoon, there will be time to explore Greenwich, take a boat trip on the Thames or just relax in the Restaurant. Sights include: the Observatory, Cutty Sark, Arts & Craft Market, Maritime Museum, Old Royal Naval College, Greenwich Meridian, The Greenwich Foot Tunnel that takes you under the Thames, just to name a few!

UPDATE:
Cutty Sark relaunches on 26 April 2012. Cutty Sark is a true London landmark and national icon of British maritime history. Her relaunch opens a new chapter in the extraordinary life of one of the world’s most famous ships – the last surviving tea clipper and the fastest and greatest of her time. A new and immersive experience will allow you to venture both underneath and aboard this unique and beautiful three-masted sailing ship and to view the elegant lines of her hull. Explore the ship’s rich and tumultuous history, her cargoes from tea to buffalo horns, and the cultures and lives she has touched throughout her 140-year lifespan.

This is a very worthwhile attraction to go and see after lunch. Anyone wishing to take a guided tour of the newly refurbished clipper will need to pre-book the tickets. This can be done on-line by going to www.rmg.co.uk/cuttysark/ and clicking on 'Book Now'. It would be advisable to not book after 4pm. so as not to miss the coach back home.
