WITH A LITTLE HELP FROM THEIR FRIENDS
In May, the Knights of St Saviour’s Preceptory No 338 were pleased to be able to install a new Knight into our Order. The call to arms went out for assistance and many Knights went along to help the Preceptory.
Among those assisting were the Provincial Sub Prior, V.E. Knight Chris Cradock (Chaplain), Provincial Marshal, E.Kt. Chris Eley (Deputy Marshall and Guard) and E.Kt. Tim Ford, Provincial Deputy Marshal (Eminent Preceptor).
A ballot was held for Companion William (Bill) Jowett of Worcester Park Lodge and Chapter No 5402. This proved in his favour and Comp. Bill was installed as a Knight Templar in an exemplary manner by the Acting Eminent Preceptor, E.Kt. Tim Ford, ably assisted by the Preceptory Marshal, E.Kt. Dr Miguel Godfrey and E.Kt. Angus Cameron who gave the Charge and explained the Symbols of the Order.
Kt. Bill had recently joined the Richmond Lodge of Mark Master Masons and a number of members of his Mark Lodge were there to support him.
The Acting Eminent Preceptor invited the Provincial Sub Prior to present two Great Priory Certificates to Kts. Simon Tiptree and Phil Gaiger, which was done in a most informative manner.
After the Priory was closed the Knights of St Saviour’s Preceptory and their guests dined together in fraternal union at the Sutton Masonic Hall..
