The Installation meeting of Emmaus Preceptory
In September, Emmaus Preceptory No. 446 held their first Installation meeting since April 2019 at Surbiton Masonic Hall. Joining us was V.E.Kt. Stephen J Warwick, the Great Sub-Prior of Malta.
E.Kt. Prof. Denis W May, P,Prov.G.Reg. opened the meeting of Emmaus Preceptory and welcomed everyone, with a special welcome to the Provincial Prior of Surrey, R.E.Kt. Patrick P Crossan. The Provincial Prior of Surrey was saluted with seven under the direction of the Marshal, E.Kt. Tim Ford, P.Gt.A.-de-C., Prov.Mar.
Eulogies were given for V.E.Kt. John Finlayson, P.Gt.Reg.; V.E.Kt. Ernie Wonnacott, P.Gt.Reg., and E.Kt. Duncan Bell, P.Prov.A.-de-C.
E.Kt. Denis May then installed the Preceptor Elect, David Thompson, P.Gt.St.B.(B.), into the Chair of the Preceptory, following which E.Kt. David appointed and invested his Officers.
The Preceptory was closed and a Priory meeting was opened.
E.Kt. Prof. Denis May installed the Prior Elect, E.Kt. David Thompson, P.Gt.Adm., into the Chair of the Priory. The Emmaus Priory was then closed.
Pictured here are two Heads of Orders in Surrey with our Provincial Prior and Provincial Mareschal. E.Kt. Jack Love, District Grand Superintendent of the Holy Royal Arch Knight Templar Priests and Order of Holy Wisdom; and E.Kt. John French, District Grand Prefect in the Allied Masonic Degrees of the District Grand Council of Surrey.
Following the Emmaus meetings, a meeting of the Provincial Priory of Malta was held and the Provincial Officers for 2021-22 were invested.
Afterwards the Knights of Emmaus Preceptory and their guests dined together in fraternal union at the Surbiton Masonic Hall.
